FRO YO IN PROVO (Yeah, that's right. Be excited.)

This is a teaser for our upcoming segment of the blog: Fro Yo in Provo.
[I may not be a master at Photoshop, but I can make a pretty darn good poster about yogurt, if I do say so myself. And that's all that matters, right? :)]
More details on this segment later, but get excited. It's going to be awesome. And it will involve lots and lots of, you guessed it... YOGURT.

Daily Dose of Hilarity #8

This post is actually the discovery of Allison, but I am posting it because I am the avid Taylor Swift fan of the bunch and if I find this funny, you should too. I'm telling you, every time I see a clip of Taylor Swift, I just like her more and more. And she's not afraid to laugh at herself (as apparent from this video). Anyway, thank you, Ellen, for that dose of Halloween hilarity. :)

Halloween Hooligans

Last night was the ward Halloween party, which, of course, required us to dress up in the costumes that you are currently viewing in the picture above. The costumes were (just in case, you need a little help), from left to right: Kristi as Wendy from Peter Pan, Shannon the Corpse Bride, Allison as Tiger Lily from Peter Pan (or Pocahontas or just a generic Native American, whichever fit the situation best), Emily as Dorothy, and Lisa as Minnie Mouse.
The ward Halloween party was a lot of fun. Everyone participated in a murder mystery; each group had to win contests in order to get clues so we could solve the mystery. The highlight of the evening was Shannon doing part of the Thriller dance for the costume walk-off. It was amazing! Anyways we hope you have a safe and a very HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Daily Dose of Hilarity #7

So today when Lisa and I were getting ready for aerobic dance, Lisa started singing me "You Are My Sunshine" and she inserted my name into it. So I told her that she should get it recorded and then I would be famous because my name is in it. Now, like a somewhat normal person, Lisa started to sing "Celebrity" by Brad Paisley because I said I would become famous. Unlike a normal (or even a bit normal) person, I started singing this song. I know; I'm a freak.

It brought back all of the nostalgia of me and my friends finding the most random videos to each other and sending them through Instant Messenger. I promise though that, in liking this slightly morbid song, I am not deranged. Promise. :)

It's almost that time of year

It was snowing this morning when Lisa and I woke up and I gave her permission to listen to Christmas music. The look of pure, unadulterated joy on her face convinced me that Christmas music will hereafter be allowed in our bedroom regardless of the fact that it's not even Halloween yet. Bring on the Christmas cheer!

Sunday :)

I found this video online today and it really touched me. Mark Mabry's photographs are so beautiful. The one of Christ's baptism makes me tear up every time I see it. I hope you can feel the Spirit through these pictures and the music, like I did. Have a great Sunday! :D

Daily Dose of Hilarity #6

"I feel grrreat!"
This is one of the most ridiculous and hilarious video I have seen! Last year we got endless entertainment from it and highly enjoy quoting it. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Daily Dose of Hilarity #5

This is probably one of the coolest things to ever be made in the Spanish language. Love it! Embrace the stache, people.

I would say more but I'm getting pretty tired so I just let the video speak for itself...

Daily Dose of Hilarity #4

I know, I know. We got a little wimpy yesterday and forgot to post a new Dose of Hilarity. But it was Sunday! The day of rest! Seriously, I view the absence of a post as more of a message to the world that we need slow down a little from our rapid pace and take the time, at least once a week, to relax and reflect on why we are here in the first place.

Alright, enough of my diatribe. :)

Since we missed yesterday, you get the ultimate source of laughter today. The gift that keeps on giving. The website that is probably going to change your life forever.

mylifeisaverage.com

It's a quirky little site that combats FMyLife by listing average (yet hysterical) happenings of daily life instead of tragic happenings of daily (and quite sad) life.
I've even been kind enough to add a feed of MyLifeIsAverage on this blog! It's just down past all of our descriptions. You're welcome. Now go enjoy!

Daily Dose of Hilarity #3

My children will dance like this. Because they will be cool. And redheaded.

Daily Dose of Hilarity #2

Upon my roommates' request, I am posting the video that basically inspired our title choice. Say what you will about these guys, they sure can make a Miley Cyrus song amusing. :)

GOOD NEWS!

Hello again! The smile that Monty Python brought to my face reminded me that we had some excellent news in our apartment yesterday! And I thought it would be appropriate to share the love with the rest of the Web.

[drumroll please]

Lisa got accepted for an internship at Disney World!!
Awesome, right?! I'll let her talk about it more later; she's super excited. :D CONGRATULATIONS, LISA!

Daily Dose of Hilarity #1

Presenting... MINISTRY OF SILLY WALKS! I showed this to my roommates and they were in complete hysterics. And alas, the Daily Dose of Hilarity was born. If you haven't seen this video before, you are seriously deprived. Monty Python is just brilliant. I am sorry, though, that this isn't the full video (it wouldn't let me embed the full one but you can search it on YouTube and it'll come up).

Alo!

Hi! I guess it's up to me to give a little introduction to this blog. This is "Party in the 114," a blog about six roommates attending BYU (and living in Apartment 114, if you were wondering where the random number came from). We decided to create a blog about our many adventures, which include, but are not limited to: rockin' out to music via Project Playlist, eating, obsessing over "Bones," discovering the many sites of Provo, eating, saying ridiculous things, and (as our blog name might indicate) partying! Well, as much of a party as you are going to get in Provo. Ha ha. We'll be making posts on here from time to time (when we aren't studying, which is pretty important too) so keep coming back, especially if you want a good laugh. Enjoy! :)
